    Why Is This Site Here?
What is the purpose of RetroFLICKSTM? Simply, to bring you a blast from the past, when your hometown cinema was a portal to other times and places, and thirteen channels of TV was all you could ever want. If you are pushing 40 like me (or more!), you'll likely find movies and TV shows here that will make you say "I remember that!" You WON'T find mainstream, recent releases that can be plucked from the shelves of any big-box discount store, or are available in hundreds of copies at your local video rental outlet. Most of the movies and TV shows in the RetroFLICKSTM collection have been largely forgotten by the mainstream distribution industry, and so it is with great pleasure that RetroFLICKSTM offers them to you here.

    What's The Deal With DVD-R?
All RetroFLICKSTM titles are provided on DVD-R media. Due to the rarity and special-interest nature of these films, commercially-pressed DVDs would not be financially feasible. DVD-R media allows RetroFLICKSTM to produce titles in small lots, thereby holding production costs down, which keeps prices reasonable. DVD-R is compatible with nearly all consumer DVD players produced in the last three years or so. Many websites maintain compatibility databases, so if you are unsure of your player's ability to handle DVD-R, you may wish to do a bit of research. One such database can be found here.

    Are These Bootleg DVDs?
No. RetroFLICKSTM does not sell bootlegs or pirated copies of existing North American DVD releases. There would be little point in infringing on licensing arrangements to offer you the same titles which could easily be had at your local discount chain. All our titles are either original RetroFLICKSTM DVD releases, or imports. If you believe that a title we carry is in conflict with some agreement you have as a rights/license holder, please contact us. We welcome the opportunity to discuss fair distribution arrangements with you.

    Terms Of Sale
RetroFLICKSTM titles are produced with the best available materials and sources. In particular, considerable effort has been expended to obtain the best image and sound quality for every title. Many titles in the RetroFLICKSTM collection are old and rare, and overall quality variations are inevitable. Any title which suffers from a physical defect in media or workmanship will be replaced free of charge. Otherwise, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
