Premesso che non ho ancora visto Avatar, ho anche io il vago sospetto che stravincerà alla notte degli Oscar... poi mi sa che Avatar sia un po' troppo commerciale, però è solo un'impressione, devo vederlo prima per giudicare.
Certo è che - per quanto possa valere - ha avuto moltissime nominations... e cmq non che gli Oscar valgano moltissimo, anzi, ora come ora valgono poco o niente secondo me.
Basta tenere presente che tra i film più di successo in quanto ad Oscar c'è di sicuro Titanic: per carità, bel film, (anche se ammetto che non è esattamente tra i miei preferiti)però quello mi sembra sia un fenomeno un po' commerciale. Non sta a me dire che è sopravvalutato, però sinceramente non mi sembra un film di quelli eccezionali, eppure il numero di statuette vinte sembrerebbe testimoniare il contrario.

Non ne sarei così sicuro, se leggi in giro è dato da tutti favorito The Hurt Locker sia per regia sia per film.
Un mio commento alle nomination:
Ampliando la categoria a 10 Up come miglior film, per il quale sono felicissimo, assume meno valore.
Miglior regia scontati.
Tra gli attori mi spiace non vedere la Saldana, non tanto per la sua interpretazione ma tanto per il passo avanti storico che la categoria avrebbe fatto visto che in futuro saranno sempre più i lavori in motion capture.
The Secret of Kells in animazione non l'ho mai sentito nominare indagherò.
Tra i cortometraggi pur ammettendo che non ho visto i concorrenti sono abbastanza spiazzato dall'esclusione di Parzialmente nuvolo che è un corto meraviglioso.
Perplesso per la fotografia ad Avatar visto che come tipologia richiederebbe una categoria a sè.
Felice invece per vederlo nel montaggio anche solo per il lavoro fatto durante la battaglia finale che rispetto ai kolossal simili è di una pulizia fantastica.
Sempre su Avatar sorpreso infine per l'esclusione di I see you tra le migliori canzoni non tanto perchè ritenessi la canzone così meritevole tanto perchè se poi mi candidano Avatar tra le musiche (che praticamente si rifanno per mezzo film al motivetto di I see you) lo trovo un po un controsenso.. -

Certo è che da un punto di vista meramente visivo e grafico Avatar è unico. Però io sono del parere che ciò non basti a fare un capolavoro, non necessariamente. Ripeto, dovrò prima vederlo... . -

The Hurt locker è bellissimo, qui sul forum, ma generalmente in Italia, non ha avuto il giusto plauso, felice che sia stato nominato, vedo anche per la Fotografia, fantastica. Io comunque non sono come quella bestia di Jack che spara sentenze senza aver visto tutti i film in concorso
, però i Bastardi mi sono piaciuto un sacco, un premio che personalmente assegnerei sulla fiducia è quello per la sceneggiatura, è geniale 
e non ho trovato un dialogo fuori posto, al contrario di ill Bill e di Grindhouse.
Comunque a me degli Oscar ogni anno frega sempre meno, è la storia che, spesso, da torto all'Accademy, ergo.. -

Uscite le nomination inizia la "road to oscar"! Diciamo che allo stato attuale posso dire ben poco, troppi film da vedere. Ora come ora sono per "bastardi senza gloria" piuttosto che "avatar" entrambi film che ho visto, ma sono curioso di vedere gi altri.
Quindi per adesso salirei sul "carro" di "bastardi senza gloria"

Io tifo per tarantino, però per le attrici la Zoe Saldana per me doveva essere nominata (Sia per "la storia" sia per l'interpretazione)...
